KARACHI: Three deposed judges of Sindh High Court have taken fresh oath in Karachi here on Tuesday.
Earlier, government had issued the notification for the re-appointment of three judges. These judges include Justice Sarhad Jalal Usmani, Justice Athar Saeed and Justice Gulzar Ahmed.
The Chief Justice of Sindh High Court, Anwer Jaheer Jamali, admistered the oath. Judges, Advocate General Yousuf Leghari and other top officials attended the oath-taking ceremony.
Eight judges of Sindh High Court deposed by former president Pervez Musharraf on November 3 had already taken fresh oaths. The number of judges in the SHC has now increased to 29.
Meanwhile government had already issued a notification increasing number of judges from 28 to 40 according to which 11 posts are still vacant in high court.
